Numeracy Homework – 8.1.13
This week in numeracy we have
been learning to read and write 3 digit numbers and how to partition these
numbers into hundreds, tens and units. For homework this week please play some
of the following games:
if you would like to you could
take pictures of your favourite game or write down some of your mathematical
working in your homework book.
Literacy
homework – 8.1.13
This week
we have started learning about non-chronological reports. The first stage of
writing a report is to research what you would like to write about.
Which
animal interests you but you don’t know much about? Perhaps it’ll be a
ferocious polar bear, the giant blue whale or the slow sloth.
Choose
one animal and research interesting facts about that animal. Then, in your
homework book write a list of facts (remembering the difference between fact
and opinion!). Think about the layout of your work and use numbers OR bullet
points to organise your list.
