Literacy
Homework
Task: For
Literacy homework this week, we’d like you to build on the excellent work you
completed at home last week. You should already have a list of interesting
facts that you wrote about an animal of your choice. We’d now like you to
organise your facts carefully.
Firstly, read your facts again
and think about headings that would fit well, for example, if you wrote fact
that lions eat other animals you might choose the heading ‘Food’ or if you
wrote a fact that elephants have rough, grey skin you might choose the heading
‘skin.’ Then write a paragraph of information under each heading, try to
develop your ideas. Lastly, next to each paragraph, draw a picture or diagram
to fit with your writing.
There are templates available to
help you organise your report or if you feel confident you can write your
report straight into your homework book using headings and pictures.
Challenge: If you
feel confident completing the homework task above then include an introduction
and summary to your report.

Numeracy Homework
Numeracy homework is about finding the difference between two numbers, for example, the difference between 10 and 12 is 2. There are worksheets that can be printed off the GLG about finding the difference or feel free to write your own questions and answers in your homework book.
The difference between 18 and 24 is 6.
